Case study

“The change was made to both minimise our carbon footprint and simplify operations. There were a number of additional gas equipment safety checks and maintenance requirements in place when we were using our natural gas boilers but these are no longer necessary, which has reduced our workload. The machine operators are also very impressed with the reliability of the geothermal supply. We’re making use of a sustainable earth energy that is right under our feet while being able to significantly reduce our carbon footprint. This major outcome is totally aligned with the values of SCA Hygiene Australasia and the Government’s objectives with the introduction of the emissions trading scheme.”
